Comedic in rhythm, dramatic in truth, No One Like Us follows Lisa and her tight-knit circle of friends as love, obligation, and identity collide. In the lineage of The Jeffersons, Living Single, and Insecure, with a modern answer to the myth that your 30s are supposed to look figured out.

Series Update

Help Us With The Next Chapter.
Here's what we have.

We're seeking financing and partners to film the pilot and move No One Like Us forward.

No One Like Us first introduced audiences to Lisa Turner through a remotely produced digital sitcom filmed across three states using cell phones and green screens.

Now, we're raising the financing to film the pilot with a full-scale production.

No One Like Us was intentionally developed to live as both a sitcom and an American dramedy series. The pilot, pitch deck, series overview, and show bible are ready, with five seasons mapped out.

The series follows Lisa from life under Mama Sheryl's roof into the next chapter of her life as she answers the question: Who do you become when you stop living for everyone else?

Fun Girls vs Forever Girls

Explore how society sorts women into “fun” or “forever,” and how a label becomes a verdict on a woman’s worth.

We’ll save you the relief now: we’re not here to pit these two women against each other. This is about what happens when two women, without ever agreeing to it, are placed on opposite sides of a comparison neither of them created.

In the mind of someone else, the two of them arrive already sorted. One lives for the moment — she travels, dates, explores, embraces her independence and freedom, and makes a creative experience out of almost anything. The other is…

Sexual Energy as Creative Fuel

What Intimacy Teaches You About Making Art

There is an intensity that comes with tapping into our sexual energy, an intimacy that can transform both our personal lives and our creativity. When we allow ourselves to truly feel, to explore those deepest layers of desire and longing, we unlock inspiration that enriches our art.

But intimacy isn’t constant. It moves in waves. And I’ve learned that both its presence and its absence, and the ache of the gap between, teach you something essential about art.

I’m a writer, so my examples come from writing. But the principles translate to any medium. The sensations intimacy teaches you, trust, surrender, desire, aren’t tied to a specific craft. They’re human and show up in anything that you create.

What Your Body Knows

Let’s start with the obvious: sex fuels art because it fills your body with data.

Secrets of the Untamable Woman

People call her “too much.” “Noncommittal.” “Untamable.”

What they don’t grasp is that her wildness is a mirror reflecting their own repressed yearnings.

Her light isn’t merely brilliant; it casts shadows that intertwine with the darker corners of the human experience. Her essence both illuminates and obscures, hinting at the secrets she carries beneath her radiant surface. When she moves, the air thickens with unspoken truths, the kind that linger just out of reach, whispering dark melodies that tease the mind. Her smile, a facade of warmth, can mask the turmoil roiling beneath, and the spark in her eyes isn’t just inviting; it’s a challenge to those who accept an invitation to plumb the depths of her soul, where hidden desires clash with societal norms.

“What’s wrong with me?”

That’s the question she’s been asking since she was old enough to wonder why love always felt like a performance.

Damn, You Turned Me Off: The Lost Art of Sexual Tension

Picture this.

You wake up, feeling an insatiable hunger stirring deep within you. You check the date, and there it is, that time of the month when every nerve ending seems to tingle, igniting a primal urge that leaves you feeling like you could bite through a damn brick. You're in your 30s, close enough, and everyone around you keeps promising it only gets more intense from here. Your body is on fire, like you've just run a marathon in your sleep while your hormones rearranged your entire being.

You glance to the left and see it sitting there; maybe it's charged, maybe it's not, but it doesn't matter because it's not what you crave. What you yearn for is the weight of another body pressed against yours, the thrill of someone whispering something filthy in your ear, asking,

You Had the Right Idea Though…

You didn't get it wrong.

What if your idea was actually a good one, even if the timing didn't look the way you thought it would?

Hell, maybe it wasn't the timing at all.

Could be nobody ever told you it was a good idea.

I think that affects people more than we like to admit because validation is nice. It feels good and, truthfully, whatever you're told long enough, you start to believe anyway. If people keep questioning your idea, you question it too… until one day you simply
